The Client

Established in 2006 by Principals Sumeet Sethi and Gurmit Advani, General Hospitality Services, LLC’s mission is simple: to provide outstanding service, share a unique expertise, and help clients create wealth. Almost 13 years later, the company still operates based on its four foundational principals of success that it calls the 4 P’s—People, Product, Processes, and Profit.  

With approximately 150 employees, General Hospitality Services will open its sixth hotel property this year, adding to its thriving portfolio of managed properties in Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The company’s leaders incorporate a team approach in all business ventures and believe that experiences bring new relationships and opportunities. As growth is one of the major long-term goals for the GHS team of hospitality professionals, the company’s 2016 goal of 10 in 3—moving its management portfolio from 4 properties to 10 within 3 years—is well underway with multiple franchise licenses and new relationships being nurtured every day.

The Opportunity

General Hospitality Services’ relationship with LBMC Employment Partners began in 2018 when Ryan Hinton stepped into the role of Director of Human Services for GHS and discovered the need to consolidate GHS’s multiple HR-related systems. As Hinton began looking for an HR implementation system, a friend—Brian Tate, who’s a shareholder with LBMC’s audit division—connected him to LBMC EP. After meeting with the LBMC EP team, learning about their services, and getting a proposal, Hinton quickly realized that LBMC EP’s HR solutions were cost effective and made sense, financially and logistically, for GHS. Payroll Implementation Manager Mary Traywick is one of the best and most responsive professionals I’ve ever worked with.” LBMC EP currently provides GHS with payroll, employee benefits, and HR implementation services, and Hinton says the goal is to expand those HR-related services in 2019 and beyond as GHS continues to grow.

The Solution

What makes the relationship with LBMC EP so good? Hinton affirms, “The trustworthy working relationship we have with LBMC EP is what matters most.
